s-Complex

Overview

S-Complex is a revolutionary cutting aid allowing exponentially faster and cleaner cuts on all stone products from quartz to quartzite. In addition, this product will decrease the sound levels of your machines, give blades a longer life, and lower the amperage of the saws. By adding a dosage of between 0.4% -1% of additive to your water, you will marvel at the improvements this non-toxic/biodegradable additive will have on the efficiency of production.

Product Technical Benefits

• MASSIVE gains in cutting and grinding speed – up to 18.75 times the normal cutting speed in real stone fabrication plants.

• INEXPENSIVE use only 0.4% (1:250) concentration up to 0.8% (1.125) concentration to achieve optimum results. The product lasts well in water recycling systems so redosing is also inexpensive.

• Prolongs the life of the diamonds in diamond tools

• Cleaner cuts and a big reduction in chipping and blowouts.

• Faster, cleaner cutting of problematic hard materials including porcelain and sintered stones.

• Significantly lower saw noise levels, especially on hard sintered stone and porcelains.

Product Applications

Honing/polishing of natural stone floors & countertops
Cutting/sawing/grinding of natural stone in fabrication plants

How S-Complex™ optimizes cutting/grinding speed and diamond tool life:

  • Exploits a physical property called the Rehbinder Effect, softening the substrate ahead of the tool.
  • Maximizes effective torque at the tool-surface interface while reducing machine torque and tool vibration.
  • Enables greater depth per cut with increased cutting speeds
  • With pressure and heat, the additive forms a protective coating around each exposed diamond which minimizes diamond wear and retains sharpness.
  • Preferentially fills micro-fractures in diamonds as they occur during use, reducing hydraulic pressure inside the cracks and slowing disintegration of the diamonds.

How to Use: Stone / Quartz / Porcelain, Sintered Stone / Glass Fabrication plants:

  • Add 0.5% to 1% S-Complex™ to your water re-circulation system. We have found 0.5% to work well when only natural stone is being sawn and processed. 0.8% is recommended where a variety of harder man-made materials such as porcelain and sintered stone are being cut and processed as well as natural stone.
  • S-Complex™ is recycled with your water. S-Complex™ will slowly degrade with multiple usages, is attracted to cuttings, and will be diluted as you add water to replace water that evaporates. Add 0.5 to 0.8% S-Complex™ to your recycled water at regular intervals or constantly dose at very tiny drip levels with a suitable peristaltic dosing pump. Complimentary Products:
  • M-Protect™ is a release agent which is sprayed onto machinery prior to use and allows easier removal of dried concrete slurry.
  • M-Clean™ is a high-tech acid wash that enables quick removal of dried concrete slurry from machinery without corrosion to exposed metals.

Safety

There has been a worldwide move toward wet processing of stone due to the dangerous health effects of breathing in silica dust i.e. dust from breaking up the silica content in the stone. In many countries, dry processing of natural stone has been outlawed, except in controlled factory environments with specified extraction/ventilation equipment and strict HR protocols.

S-Complex™ is non-toxic, low odor, and biodegradable.

Drilling Efficiency and Cost

Drilling costs are mainly driven by ROP and bit life. The key factors in drill bit wear are the bit type, the bit operating parameters and the characteristics of the substrate being drilled. Complex 42™ reduces drill bit wear in all substrates, providing significant downstream performance improvements throughout the whole drilling process.

Complex 42™ increases milling efficiency via the Rehbinder Effect which softens fresh ore surfaces as it is broken up. Complex 42™ is recycled many times with the mill water before it has to be topped up.

How Complex 42™ Works

  • Diamond Preservation
Complex 42™ is formulated to reduce diamond wear. In the presence of heat and pressure, Complex 42™ not only works as a lubricant but forms a protective coating around the tool. In the example of a drill string, Complex 42™ has been demonstrated to reduce friction both on the cutting head and on the well wall, reducing fuel costs and wear and tear on the equipment.
  • Increased cutting / grinding speed
Complex 42™ works via a physical property known as the Rehbinder Effect to significantly increase cutting and drilling efficiency through softening of the rock surface allowing increased penetration. The added benefit of diamond preservation means greater cutting efficiency over the life of the tool because the diamonds stay sharper for longer.

C-Complex

C-Complex™ is a next-generation, concentrated performance additive designed to substantially increase concrete grinding, polishing and cutting speed and lengthen diamond tool life.

C-Complex™ radically improves diamond tool effectiveness and lifespan, shortening jobs, lowering tool costs and raising profit margins.

Key Applications

  • Grinding, honing, polishing of concrete floors
  • Concrete cutting
  • Removal of floor coatings by grinding

How C-Complex™ optimizes cutting/grinding speed AND diamond tool life:

  • Exploits a physical property called the Rebinder Effect, softening the substrate ahead of the tool.
  • Maximizes effective torque at the tool–surface interface while reducing machine torque and tool vibration.
  • Enables greater increase in penetration speed with increased cutting speeds and pressure.

Silica Safety

C-Complex™ is non-toxic, low odor, and biodegradable, used at only 3-4% concentration with water.

There has been a worldwide shift toward wet grinding and cutting of concrete in response to global recognition of the health risks from breathing in silica dust released from concrete and granite aggregate. In many countries, dry processing of concrete and natural stone outdoors has been outlawed and indoor dry processing must adhere to strict ventilation protocols in controlled factory environments.

C-Complex Technical Benefits

  • Low-cost concentrate – dilution of approximately 1% with water.
  • Easy to use for both wet and low water grinding and with simple or sophisticated equipment
  • Increased tool life up to 40%
  • Increased grinding rate up to 3x (up to 6x in controlled lab conditions)
  • Increased machine life: C-Complex™ increases torque at the cutting interface while reducing load on the machine and tool vibration.
  • Faster removal of floor coatings – increases grinding speed, reduces diamond tool fouling.
  • Biodegradable
  • Anti-fouling, bacterial growth resistant
  • Built in anti-rust and corrosion inhibitors

How to Use: Concrete Polishing

  • Option 1 – mix 1% C-ComplexTM with water, then apply the solution to the concrete floor.
  • Option 2 – In situations where you have a system which releases water onto the floor as you go, premix 1% C-ComplexTM with the water in your tank or use an electronic doser/fertigation equipment to add 1% C-ComplexTM into the mix as you go.
  • Typical Application Rate: is 0.8 to 1% C-ComplexTM mixed with water. 1% works very well for most projects.

Additional How to Use tips:

  • Make wet grinding easier with M-ProtectTM and M-CleanTM:
    – M-ProtectTM is a release agent which is sprayed onto machinery prior to use and allows easier removal of dried concrete slurry.
-M-CleanTM is a high-tech acid wash that enables quick removal of dried concrete slurry from machinery without corrosion to exposed metals.
-W-ProtectTM is a release agent which is sprayed onto walls to protect them from stone slurry and rinses off easily with water.
  • If you use more than 1% C-ComplexTM in a recycling system where the water is recycled or agitated in some way, you may get more than a desirable amount of foaming – then use Rache AF-NC7TM Anti-Foam. At concentrations of 1% or less this can usually be avoided.

Precautions

  • Eye / Face: Wear splash-proof goggles.
  • Hands: Wear PVC or rubber gloves.
  • Body: When using large quantities or where heavy contamination is likely, wear coveralls.
  • Respiratory Where an inhalation risk exists, wear a Type A (Organic vapour) respirator.
  • Do not take it internally.
  • Avoid spraying in windy conditions.
  • Wash hands thoroughly.
